How to Fix IPTV Buffering & Freezing

Simple checks that fix most buffering, freezing and picture problems.

Most buffering is caused by the home network or device, not the service. Work through these steps in order.

Quick Fixes

  1. Test your speed. You need about 30 Mbps for 4K and 10 to 15 Mbps for HD. Run a speed test on the same device.
  2. Use a cable. Connect your device to the router by Ethernet, or use 5 GHz Wi-Fi close to the router.
  3. Restart. Unplug your router and streaming device for 30 seconds, then start them again.
  4. Close other streams. Pause large downloads and other video on your network.
  5. Try another channel. If only one channel misbehaves, tell us its name and the time.
  6. Update the app. Install the latest version of your player app.

Still Having Trouble?

  • Switch your app's player or decoder setting (for example from hardware to software).
  • Try our WebPlayer to see if the problem is the app.
  • Contact support with your device, app and a rough time of the problem.

Tip: a 24 hour test line is a free way to check quality on your own connection before you buy.
